So loved our stay here, correspondence with Georgie was seamless.
House is even better than the photos, the outside bedroom was so cozy even on a night that got to single digits!
Dinner was so good I've had to ask for the recipe.
A privilege to stay here, thanks for sharing with the 5 of us, was our favorite stay on the rail trail.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nanthorn Farmhouse at Havrincourt Farm. In a peaceful rural setting, the house is beautifully renovated, and equipped with everything we needed for a rejuvenating weekend away. A total slice of paradise - we’ll be back for sure! The breakfast is highly recommended - the bed homemade granola and homemade yoghurt ever, hands down!

We stayed at the Havrincourt Farm Cottage for the last night of the Otago Central Rail Trail and couldn’t have had a better place to stay to wrap up the ride.
The home cooked braised beef for dinner was one of our favorite meals on the trail and fresh bread with bacon and farm fresh eggs for breaky a great start to the final days riding.
The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything you could need and more. The washer and dryer was handy for us to get on top of our chores.
Georgie was an excellent host who made us feel welcome and obviously shows the effort she puts in to make exceptional modern country accommodation.
This will be a number one recommendation for any of our family and friends passing through Hyde or riding the rail trail.

We enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay whilst on the Otago Central Rail Trail. Accommodation organised through our bike tour company. The beautiful cottage is located a scenic 25 mins from Hyde station, self-drive vehicle available. We opted for the home cooked dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend to stay for more than one night. Thank you Georgie for a lovely stay.

My family and I had the most incredible stay at Havrincourt. A farm cottage in a stunning remote setting that has been restored beautifully. Georgie is a fantastic host who goes the extra mile to ensure an enjoyable stay. We opted in for the home cooked meal which was such a treat after a long day on the rail trail. My boys loved it so much they asked me to get the recipe which Georgie was happy to share. All the little touches like home made muesli, range of drinks to purchase and home cooked bread were the finishing touches that gives this a 5/5 all round. Best accommodation we had on the trail by a long shot. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Harvincourt was incredible. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was spectacular. When we walked in the door we were greeted by the welcoming smell of fresh bread baking and dinner in the slow cooker. The home itself is beautiful, clean, comfortable and cozy (while still being spacious) So many beautiful touches. We had everything we could need. The dinner, dessert and breakfast were so delicious- seriously so good. It was so lovely being able to watch the sheep out the window and wake up to the beautiful views. The drive in from the Hyde railway is also beautiful in itself. We had a lovely time and are grateful we got a chance to stay at Harvincourt 🤍
This place is amazing. We stayed here as part of a Central Otago Cycling tour. And this place was a pleasant surprise in so many ways.

Getting to the accommodation was a bit of a riddle! It actually adds to the fun in hindsight. But if you come, carefully read your itinerary and instructions to figure out how to get here. If you contact the organisers for help, they respond with a mildly annoyed 'read your itinerary and instructions'.

But once you find your way here, you'll find an amazingly restored farmhouse with meticulous attention to detail. Our home-cooked dinner was waiting for us in a slow cooker, with fresh bread in a bread maker, and dessert in the fridge and freezer. There is a stocked fridge and cupboard, and a set fireplace. There are even marshmallows for roasting on the fire.

If you look out any of the windows, you are surrounded by rolling green pastures with grazing sheep.

It is the epitome of country cozy accommodation. We even had fog and light rain to add to the coziness. They have nailed the aesthetic and charm of a farmhouse stay. Everything is thoughtfully supplied and organised for a comfortable and unique stay.

Highly recommended.

My four friends and I stayed at the farmhouse in March, on the final night of the Otago Central Rail Trail. We had clear instructions on where to pick up the car, collect our luggage and then drive to the house. A beautiful, peaceful setting and the Georgie had everything ready for our dinner meal - we just had to reheat/cook and she was very accommodating regarding the food as one of our group has gluten and dairy allergies. The dinner and breakfast were delicious! And there was other food and drinks available to purchase if we needed it.
The house was very clean, beautifully renovated and such attention to detail made for a very memorable stay.

What a hidden gem this was! We and our Western Australian farmer friends totally enjoyed staying at the cottage. Georgie is an outstanding host - friendly, knowledgeable and generous. This farm stay is decorated to the highest standard, was spotlessly clean and cozy, yet is very homely. The kitchen and pantry is well set up. Scrumptious hot bread on arrival was most appreciated on a cold day. Thanks so much Georgie, we will highly recommend your lovely boutique accommodation.

Lovely farm cottage set in stunning scenery in a remote part of Otago where our party of 5 stayed overnight on our Otago Rail Trail adventure. We were well looked after by our host Georgie and provided with a simply delicious home cooked dinner to eat at our leisure. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and ample supplies were provided for breakfast options before departing on the last day of our cycle to Middlemarch. Very highly recommended.

We stayed here for a night whilst riding the Otago Rail Trail. It stood out head and shoulders above the rest for us - for many reasons! The hosts provide a self-drive car to get to the farm from the cycle trail, which means you can then get to the village for a pub dinner (or stay for an in-house meal). Finding the car key via a coded lock box and another for bag collection felt like a grown-up treasure hunt: our kids loved it. When we arrived there was a loaf of fresh home baked bread, home grown eggs and jam for breakfast all laid out for us. The cottage was warm and cosy with everything we needed for a family stay. The best part for me was the low-waste, sustainable, zero plastic approach to everything. That is how we try to live at home and proves that the individual portioned, plastic wrap, “convenient” approach to travel accommodation and food is not actually necessary. Thank you so much for all the care you are taking. This is a top quality place, do stay here if you have the opportunity. My only regret is only staying one night!!

Very nice overnight on the Rail Trail. Home baked bread and the very friendly dog Daisy to meet us. Courtesy car for a meal at Stanley's Hotel which itself was a highlight. Would book again.
